This is a vintage 1940s Emma Domb full length evening dress in black net. This dress is has the Party Lines by Domb label which was Domb's first.
Emma Domb started the Domb manufacturing company in San Francisco, California with her daughter Lorraine in 1939. The duo offered more affordable options for evening gowns made of the same luxe fabrics that resembled those in much higher price ranges.
At one time, from the mid 1960's to mid 1970's, Emma Domb supplied contestant gowns for the Miss America Pageant.
This pretty evening gown has short puffy sleeves and a satin underdress. The hemline is ruffled and it has a double layer of netting for extra fullness.
CONDITION: Very Good - there are a few tears to the netting and a few scattered pinholes.
Made in California and fits a size Medium.
